The Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) Batch 2 information session in Bogor City.
The Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) Batch 2 information session in Bogor City was an important first step in introducing job opportunities in Japan to skilled Indonesian workers. SSW is an immigration policy of the Japanese government that allows foreign nationals with specific skills to work in certain industries, such as food and beverage processing and kaigo (elderly care).
In this session, participants gained a full understanding of how the program works, including an introduction to Gakken, one of IJBNet's partner companies that actively recruits Indonesian workers. Participants were also introduced to Japanese work culture through a sharing session with alumni who have worked there.
“This session not only explained the work program in Japan, but also opened a constructive dialogue between participants, parents, and organizers to make sure everyone is fully prepared before entering the international workplace.”
The session was attended not only by candidates but also by parents and guardians who wanted to understand the process and benefits of the SSW program. Their presence created a constructive dialogue, especially in addressing concerns about departure and life in Japan.
The information session was held in two parts. The second part focused on the learning system, the financing scheme, and the departure process after participants pass the Japanese language test, the SSW skills exam, and the interview. This step-by-step approach is designed to make sure participants are mentally, academically, and administratively ready before entering the international workplace.
